How cute are these little hamburger cupcakes?
They’re super easy- most of your ingredients come from a mix.
You’ll need
1 box yellow cake mix
1 box fudge brownie mix
1 can of white frosting
Red, green, and yellow food coloring
sesame seeds
A cupcake pan (or 2)
A 13×9 brownie pan
Something to cut a 2″ circle out of the brownies
These will be very popular, so you’re going to need alot of them. I don’t think I would go with less than 24.
First, bake 24 cupcakes using a yellow cake mix. Use a paper liner in the cupcake tray to make sure you get a nice white side to the cupcake.
Bake your brownies in the 13×9 pan. Next, cut 24 circles from the completely cooled brownies. I used a 2″ circle cutter that I bought for no reason a few years ago. No, I’m not a hoarder… much.
Slice your cupcakes in half to form the bun and place the brownie circle on the bottom half to form the hamburger patty.
Next, the frosting. my “mustard” and “ketchup” were in equal amounts, and the “lettuce” was a little bit more. You could always tint some coconut green for a more realistic lettuce, buy why ruin a good cupcake like that?
After adding the “condiments” to your burger, it’s time to add the top bun. By brushing on a very thin layer of water to the top of the bun (just use your finger), sprinkle some sesame seeds on top and they’ll look just like little burgers!
