Features. You Either Love ‘Em or Hate ‘Em. When looking at cars, I for one am a self-proclaimed feature loving, super freak! I consistently choose cars with the latest and greatest features! The More Bells and Whistles, the better! But many people, including myself, may not even know what the latest and greatest safety features are, how they improve our lives daily and even what features in cars you have to pay for. Thus, I took it upon myself to educate myself and you on some of the most burning questions I had regarding the latest and greatest car features.

What are the newest safety features?

All these new safety features are totally rad! Aside from Backup Cameras with Assist Lines, Safety Features have come along way! Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning use sophisticated digital imaging technology to help you avoid a crash. Forward Collision Alert provides an audible and visual signal if you are rapidly approaching another vehicle and it appears a collision is likely. Lane Departure Warning alerts you if you begin wandering from your lane without using your turn signal and will gently nudge the wheel back into your lane. Chevrolet utilizes the super nifty SafetyAlert Vibrating Seat which will gently vibrate the drivers side seat if the vehicle senses you are falling asleep based on your driving habits. Here are some vehicles with these amazing safety features!

What is Apple Car Play and Android Auto?

This is maybe the coolest new feature in vehicles! So What is it? Various new car models are now coming equipped with the ability to connect your actual phone screen to the media center in your vehicle. The screen will actually display like your phone, making it easy to utilize your apps on your media center, while in your car! Thats right..you can actually read your text messages, on your media center, just like on your phone while driving down the road. HOLD UP..Did I really just write that?! Texting and Driving?! AMIRIGHT?! Good News, all text messaging done via AppleCar Play or AndroidAuto are done with only your voice. All you need is a USB cord to connect your device! Here are a few of our vehicles that offer this feature.

What Features do you have to pay for?

With so many features and options in cars, its nearly impossible to keep track of everything that is free and everything that you have to pay for. So what exactly DO you have to pay for? SIRIUS Satellite Radio is definitely subscription based and ranges from $11.00-$20.00 Monthly. Safety and Security Features like OnStar and 911 Assist are also going to cost you, but its definitely worth the bucks! These Plans range from $20-35 Monthly. Wifi is also all the rage right now..but guess what? thats going to cost you too! Data Plans for in-car Wifi range from $30-$50 Monthly. However, FYI..these features are completely optional, and you can totally do without if needed!
