Mother’s Day Decor from the Heart!

There is still enough time to make a gift for your mother that she will cherish forever! Below I have added a step by step process to making this as well and some pictures that include a few steps in case there is any confusion!

You will need:

-Connected Wood Letters spelling MOM (Whatever size & font you like)

-Script Wood Letters of “I love you” (Size should be a few inches smaller at least. Font should be different so it stands out)

-Black and white family photos

-Mod Podge (This is an all-in-one glue, sealer, & finish)

-Black and teal (or any 2 colors you like together) craft paint

-Paint brush

-Paper plate or paint tray

-Craft glue

-Ribbon

-Scissors

-Razor knife

Instructions:

1)This can be a messy project, so you may want to cover whatever surface you are making it on

2)Use the brush and color you chose for your “MOM” letters to coat the entire “MOM” lettering.

3)Paint the “I love you” with the 2nd paint color of your choice. Paint it all just as you did the “MOM”

4)Cut our your photos. Try to make sure you have a good mix of small and large ones.

5)Arrange the photos onto the letters until you like how it looks

6)Use your Mod Podge to adhere the photos in place. – I personally would put it on the back of the photos, place it in its correct spot, and then cover the front

**Let Mod Podge dry

7)Once all dried, turn the letters over. Use the razor knife to cut away the overhang from the photos

8)Apply a 2nd coat of Mod Podge and coat the new edges

**Let Mod Podge dry

9)Once its dried us the craft glue to attach the “I Love You” letters in their correct place on “MOM”

**Let dry

10)Use the craft glue again to attach a piece of ribbon to the right and left corners on the back. Once it has dried, tie the ribbons into a bow

11)Do a tester and make sure everything hangs straight and even
