Buying a truck isn’t as simple as “Wow, that ones pretty!” You have to look so much deeper than just what meets the eye! There is so many different qualities that separate each and every truck from the rest. How much Power is under the hood, how much can it pull, how long is the bed, how big is the cab, what is the price, and so on and so forth. Throughout this blog though, we will talk about 2 amazing trucks and go further in depth with some very important features on each one and let you decide just which one fits your own lifestyle the best!
With trucks a big deal to people is how much power they will have!! So lets compare a little bit. The chart below shows the performance and towing capacities of each one!
COST is always something to take into consideration of course when looking for any vehicle because everyone wants more bang for their buck. When looking at the MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price), the Ram 3500 will affect your bank account more than Chevy Silverado 3500HD.
COMFORT is something else to look into when you are buying as well. To me personally, this is one of the biggest factors to take into consideration because no matter what you are buying this truck for you want to be comfortable when you are in it. With the Ram you are looking at 43″ of rear leg room, 63.2″ of rear hip room, 40.3″ of backseat headroom, and 65.7″ of rear shoulder room. With the Chevy offers 34.6″ of rear leg room, 60.2″ of rear hip room. 38.6″ of backseat headroom, and 64.3″ or rear shoulder room.
Dimensions & Handling
This is where the true size of the vehicle comes into affect. With the Chevy Silverado 3500HDyou are looking at between 224″-258″ in length, 80″-81″ in width, and 78″ in height. As for the Ram 3500 its going to be more like 230″-259″ in length, 79″ in width, and 78″-80″ in height. Therefore, the Chevy is going to be bigger in width by a few inches BUT when it comes to the length and height the Ram is going to take the cake. Looking at the numbers though both vehicles will bring some difficulties in different parking situations. As for maneuvering these vehicles into parking spots, the Chevy has a significantly larger turning radius. Therefore, the Ram 3500 will be a little better in that department.
Of course there is the matter of safety as well. So, below we made a chart to show you which vehicle has what safety features to go along with it!
Throughout this blog we have tried to cover every question, wonder, pro, and con of each of these vehicles. Both are amazing though and have plenty to offer someone in need.
