Looking for a midsize sedan but don’t know which way to go? The Ford Fusion and Chrysler 200 are the top 2 picks when it comes to Style, Reliability, Fuel Mileage, Safety, and more!! But, which one gives you the most BANG for your buck?!
Well, the first consideration for anybody who’s car shopping is budget. It may surprise you to know that the Chrysler 200 and the Ford Fusion are very similar in price range! Each may vary depending on how loaded you want that baby, but when comparing similar years and options, they are pretty much the same.
Reliability is another issue we all worry about. Nobody wants to buy something that they’ve heard of other people having a lot of problems with or that has been known to break down frequently. Both Ford and Chrysler are already known for their reliability. The Ford Fusion offers a 2.5L I4 engine with 6 speed automatic transmission and has the option of a 2.7L V6. The Chrysler 200 offers a 2.4L I4 with 9 speed automatic transmission and has the option of a 3.6L V6. Neither vehicle has had a safety recall and both come with a warranty when bought new. Both cars are covered by a three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty when bought new.
Safety. Most people think of a mini van or SUV when they think of a “family” vehicle but really, a sedan can be one of your best options when choosing a vehicle for your family. In both the Chrysler 200 and the Ford Fusion, there is lots of trunk space for sports equipment, coolers for games, camping supplies, etc. And in the back seat of each there is plenty of leg room for your passengers, safety features, climate control, power inputs, and more for comfort and convenience. Both vehicles offer rear view cameras, automatic headlights, and bluetooth streaming with voice command to keep your hands on the wheel.
Technology. As we said earlier, both the Chrysler 200 and Ford Fusion have LOTS of options when it comes to the latest technology. Sunroofs, Bluetooth, Sound Systems, Backup Cameras, lane departure, forward collision, blind spot monitoring, cross path detection, front and rear sensing systems, satellite radio, touch screen media center, park assist, and much more.
Style. Both sedans come in different trim levels that come with different standard equipment ranging from cloth to leather interior, heated and cooled seats, wheel sizes, sunroofs and more. The Ford Fusion is known for its contemporary cabin and roomy interior and They Chrysler 200 is known for it’s abundance of safety features and large trunk.
