Everybody loves homemade jams! This one is much easier to make than the traditional jams, and it’s perfect for the hot weather! The best part about this recipe is that it makes alot of jam- about 2-1/2 liters!
You’ll need:
Place the strawberries in a large bowl and sprinkle with the fructose or sugar. Use about 12oz if they strawberries are ripe, or 13oz to 1lb if they’re still a little tart.
Add the lemon juice and the pectin. IF you like the jam to be firm, use all of it. For a looser jam, just use less pectin. Stir until the strawberries are macerated and are starting to ooze a little juice. Keep at it- this may take a few minutes!
Place into a small freezer-proof container and freeze. When you’re ready to use the jam, just move it to the refrigerator to slowly defrost overnight.
Enjoy!
