The Dodge
Charger has been one of the GOATs
since its inception in
1964. The lineage of this magnificent piece of american muscle can be
traced through seven generations of infallibility. I know what you’re
thinking. How can you possibly compare two Goat vehiculars of equal
Goat-esqueness? Great question! And the answer? Carefully. Going by the
SXT package, we will see whom the true patriarch is! Are you
ready?
Power
When characterizing any muscle cars power is always the very first
thing that comes to mind. Luckily, for all of you die hard Charger fans
out there (No, not the San Diego Chargers, sorry Phillip Rivers) The
2015 Model and the 2014 model are completely identical! Both are
equipped with a 3.6L V6 engine, an automatic 8 speed transmission, and
a whopping 19/31 MPG city/hwy! That’s just downright incr…wait for
it…oh my gosh I"m so hungry I could eat anything EDIBLE. INCREDIBLE.
Handling
With the new 2015
Dodge Charger the handling has been changed. We all may think
that the Dodge Charger is meant for power and speed, but it was
designed to give you firm control on the road. With the new 2015 SXT
model you get a sterring-column-mounted electric power steering system
which modulates power assistance according to the conditions
you are in, and also provides a 3% increase in overall efficiency! New
electric power steering provides three driver-selectable steering
modes: Normal, Comfort, and Sport. Because the system is electronically
controlled, precise tuning adjustments allow the driver to experience
the best steering effort at all vehicle speeds.
Styling and Design
We all know who takes the cake with this category. What’s the
different from the 2014 model? The exterior redesign of the 2015
model includes changes to the hood, fenders, front and rear fascias,
healamps, tail lamps, front doors, and spoiler. Joe Dehner,
the Head of Dodge Design, called this design "aero-dramatic". Dehner
wanted to make this redesign admirable, unforgettable, and unique. He
incorporated Challenger stylings and combined those with a modern
"mask" appearance from the latest Dart and Durango. Though the 2014
Dodge Charger had its own unique body styling, the 2015 model just
blows it out of the water, but hey, that’s just my prerogative.
So all-in-all we have two very amazing vehicles, but in the end the
2015 Dodge Charger will always prevail over the 2014 Dodge Charger! By
this point you’re sitting in your chair, or standing in some random
spot with a pool of drool by your feet. Light bulb! You have to have
this vehicle! DO
SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
